Our day retreats are a mix of yoga sequences, breathwork, and meditation. The August date is themed around the element of fire to celebrate the strength of the summer sun as it moves into Leo๐ŸŒŸ.

It's perfect for a reset, if you're stressed or just need a day for yourself, want to try something new or if you can't get to a regular yoga class.

You can expect -

๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ A morning yoga flow and a slow, relaxing session in the afternoon with me

๐Ÿฅ— A warming nourishing lunch by Skipton-based retreat chef Intentional Eats

๐Ÿ•‰ Guided meditation and deep rest

๐Ÿ”ฅFire ceremony to reflect on whatโ€™s no longer serving us

๐Ÿต Hot teas, herbal teas, coffees all day & cacao at the end of the day.

I create a really lovely community feeling - we've had some fab groups of people so far coming solo, with family members, with friends, couples.

We have a large room and wood-fired yurt available in case of adverse weather so youโ€™ll always be comfortable.

The yoga is suitable for all - the day is open to all genders, 16+. Feel free to bring your own props and mats, but I can also provide them.

  • August is Leo season, linked to the fire element. Setting a theme gives me a starting point to theme the yoga sequences around, so we'll have a more energetic flow in the morning to build up some heat and then a smouldering slow restorative session in the afternoon.

    It's also a chance to think about what you want to burn away in life (negative thoughts, actions, ways of life) or build up & fuel, like you'd build a fire. Setting an intention for the day gives it a focus: it's rare we get a chance to connect to ourselves for a whole day away from work/kids/distractions so I'd love for everyone to take something useful back into life.

    We'll also have a fire pit that we can sit around for some cacao and a closing chat . Watching fire is something so peaceful and ancestral, I really wanted to include it in the day.

    Just a few places left for the retreat - weโ€™re limited to 15 places. I'd love to see you there๐Ÿ”ฅโœจ

Day retreat schedule:

  • 10am - Welcome talk & tea

  • 10.45am - First asana class

  • 12pm - Pranayama (breathwork)

  • 12.30pm - Meditation

  • 1pm - Lunch & free forest time

  • 2.30pm - Second asana class

  • 3.30pm - Meditation

  • 4-4.30pm - Closing talk & finish

Gisburn Forest is a huge Forestry England wood in the Bowland Forest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Toilets and free parking within easy access on site.

Itโ€™s perfectly located in the middle of the country within easy reach from loads of major cities and towns:

  • 1hr drive from Manchester, Leeds, Kendal, Preston, Harrogate, Bradford.

  • 45 mins drive from Blackburn & Burnley

  • 30 mins from Skipton.
